Overview

The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Consumer Consultative Committee (CCC) is hosting its second Symposium “Conversations for Change” for health consumers and health consumer organisations with an interest in HTA.

Over two half-days, the Symposium will explore the evolving role of consumers in the HTA process.

  • Tuesday 18 October:                    1.30pm – 5.30pm (AEDT), and
  • Wednesday 19 October:              10.30am – 2.30pm (AEDT)

This free, virtual event will be open to:

  • Individual patients or carers with experience of living with a particular condition and demonstrated experience or an active interest in engaging with HTA.
  • Health consumer and patient organisations, defined as: support groups and organisations that are community, health consumer and patient focused. Individuals living with a health condition and/or their carers will also represent a majority of members in their governing bodies. Relevant organisations include:
    • general umbrella organisations (e.g. representing either disease-specific organisations and/or national umbrella organisations) and;
    • community, health consumer or disease specific organisations representing individual patients on acute and/or chronic diseases
  • Consumer members of a Department of Health and Aged committee

Expressions of Interest to register to attend the event are now open on the Symposium website until midnight, 17 October 2022.
